Smartphone-based Mobile Health Sensors and Apps

Main content start

The Eigen Diagnosis Platform (EDP) is a portable and affordable diagnosis device that allows users to easily monitor their own health status or disease conditions, and then transfers data to health care providers, securely and wirelessly, for integration with medical records and for follow up if needed. The platform completes the diagnoses with only fingerprick quantities of sample in just 10 minutes. The EDP requires minimal user involvement, has higher sensitivity and versatility than the gold standard enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), and can measure the levels of antibodies made by the human immune system and antigens of interest in blood, saliva, urine or perspiration at the point of care. It is fully controlled by a smartphone running the Eigen Diagnosis App (EDApp) that analyzes and displays the data.
